Cashew and Cranberry brownies

3/8 cup butter
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup dried cranberries (or raisins)
1/2 cup cashew nuts
1. Preheat the oven to 338° F. Grease and flour a square 20 x 20
cm baking dish.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the sugar and cocoa and stir
until completely blended. Let the mixture cool down for 5
minutes, stir again, then add the eggs, vanilla, flour, salt. Then
add the cashew nuts and cranberries.
3. Bake in preheated oven for about 20 – 25 minutes. Do not
overcook – the brownies should remain moist in the center.
Remove the baking dish from the oven and let it cool down
before cutting it into squares.
4. Decorate with melted chocolate or whipped cream before
