Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Total Prep Time: 25 minutes Makes: 36 servings
Ingredients:
1 cup of shortening
1 cup of smooth peanut butter
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of light brown sugar
3 eggs
3 cups of flour
2 tsp. of baker’s style baking soda
¼ tsp. of salt
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a bowl, add in the shortening, smooth peanut butter, white sugar and
light brown sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth in consistency.
Add in the eggs and continue to beat until evenly mixed.
3. In a separate bowl, add in the flour, salt and baking soda. Stir well to
mix. Add into the shortening mix and stir well until just mixed.
4. Divide the dough into 1 ½ inch balls. Place onto a baking sheet. Flatten
slightly.
5. Place into the oven to bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove and transfer
onto a wire rack to cool before serving.
