Crisp Vegan Tofu

How do you like your tofu? Soft, I guess. Well then, you should try this crisp tofu delicacy and enjoy the softness
inside of a crisp exterior. The crisp Vegan Tofu would have you yearning for that cushioning taste.

Serves: 4
Ingredients
600g packs of firm tofu
1 tbsp of ground chili peppers
1 cup of sesame oil
72g of vegan hot sauce
1 and 1/4 cups of cornstarch
96g of vegan butter
Directions
Ensure that you have refrigerated your tofu overnight to gain firmness.
Press the tofu until most of the water has been drained (this could take over an hour).
Proceed to slice the tofu in rectangular shapes based on your preference. Ensure it doesn’t crumble during this
process.
Now, coat all the cut tofu with pepper and cornstarch.
Heat your oil and add the tofu. Fry till they turn light brown.
Heat the vegan butter and hot sauce in another saucepan until the butter melts, and then mix together.
Drizzle this sauce all over the tofu until they are all covered.
Serve.
