Fig Galette

½ cup butter, chilled and cubed
1 ½ cups flour
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup sour cream
½ cup butter, softened
1 egg
½ cup light brown sugar
1 cup ground almonds
1 pound fresh figs, quartered
1. For the dough, mix the chilled butter, flour, sugar and salt in a bowl until
2. Add the sour cream and mix until the dough comes together.
3. Place the dough on a floured working surface and roll it into a thin sheet.
4. Mix the softened butter, light brown sugar and egg in a bowl until creamy
and pale.
5. Add the almonds and mix gently. Spoon the mixture over the center of
the dough.
6. Top with fresh figs then pull the edges of the dough over the filling,
leaving the center exposed.
7. Bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 25-30 minutes or until crisp and
golden on the edges.
8. Serve the galette chilled.
