Apple Watch SE (1st generation) GPS 44 mm
Out of stock at the moment. We will update this if they come back.
Black Friday deals are in full swing right now at Walmart, as you can get a fully equipped Apple Watch there for just $109. Although it was released back in 2020, the first generation Apple Watch SE is still a very relevant watch. The 2nd generation Apple Watch SE may have a newer S8 processor, but it’s technically only a generation newer than the S5 processor found in the original Watch SE (the S8, S7, and S6 share the same CPU). Aside from that and crash detection, it has pretty much all the sensors and features you’ll find on the second generation.
The Apple Watch SE has a gorgeous Retina OLED display. It’s powered by the same S5 chipset you’ll find in the Apple Watch 5. Its elegant aluminum casing is water-resistant up to 50 meters. It has an accelerometer, gyroscope and altimeter, optical heart sensor for heart rate monitoring and irregular heart rhythm detection, GPS and motion sensors to track your pace and distance when exercising, sleep tracking and more.
Apple Watch Series 9 for $349

The latest addition to the range is the Apple Watch Series 9. It was released in September 2023, with a significantly faster processor than its predecessors, plus a handful of new features. It has 18 hours of battery life, which will get you through the day and then some. Access to Siri is processed on the device, rather than having to beam across the internet, resulting in faster response times. It can also detect a “double tap” motion that you can do with your thumb and index finger. You can use this to press the primary button in an app without having to touch the watch’s display with your other hand (or nose). Fine.

Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen (GPS 40mm)
The Apple Watch SE 2 has an upgraded CPU compared to the original Apple Watch SE. The Apple Watch SE 2 has the same S8 processor found in the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra. The original Apple Watch SE uses an older S5 processor. Apple claims a performance improvement of around 30% between the two. Other than that, both SE watches are pretty much the same. The bright and sharp Retina OLED display is 30% larger than what you’d find on the Apple Watch Series 3. It also features crash detection (new to the second-generation Apple Watch SE), IPX7 water resistance, international roaming, heart rate notifications, fall detection, sleep tracking, sports monitoring and activity tracking, Apple Pay and more.
Apple Watch Ultra for $679

Amazon is offering Apple’s highest-end watch, the Apple Watch Ultra, for $679. The extravagantly priced Ultra is designed to withstand more extreme outdoor activities than your typical Apple Watch, including diving. It features both GPS and cellular connectivity, a 49mm corrosion-resistant rugged titanium case with an extra-durable sapphire crystal dial, a handy physical “action” button on the side, the Oceanic+ app that doubles as a mini dive computer, 100m of water resistance, a more accurate dual frequency -GPS and a longer battery life of 36 hours.
Apple Watch: Budget to the best
Investing in an Apple Watch doesn’t have to be an expensive endeavor. There are plenty of excellent, more affordable options to choose from, and we’ve listed some of our favorites below.

Apple Watch SE (GPS, 44mm) – Space Grey (Renewed)
Backed by Amazon’s renewed 90-day guarantee.
Apple Watch Series 8 Starting at $299

Apple Series 8 is the latest generation right now. It’s an incremental upgrade to the Series 7 and cosmetically they look pretty much identical. The Series 8 carries over the best features of the Series 7 such as the Always-On Retina OLED display, the dual-core processor (now called the “S8” processor, although functionally the same as the S7 processor on the Series 7), the rugged IP6X dustproof and waterproof (up to 50mm) housing, and the range of health functions such as EKG, blood oxygen and heart rate monitor. Two new features for the Series 8 are a built-in temperature sensor (primarily aimed at women’s health) and the ability to detect when you’ve been in a serious car accident.
Can you use an Apple Watch with Android phone?
While it’s technically possible to use an Apple Watch with an Android phone, we wouldn’t recommend it. Apple made it so that many of the functions of the Apple Watch require a smartphone with an iOS operating system. There are some workarounds to implement some of the features, but for the average person, the trouble isn’t worth it. If you are absolutely set on getting an Apple Watch, getting an iPhone first would be the best option. For those of you who are quite happy with your Android smartphone, there are plenty of Android smartwatches that would be a better fit than the Apple Watch.
How to customize your Apple Watch
